Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones (also known as Suranne Jones) is an English actor and producer. Her fame has been built by playing the role of Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama 'Scott & Bailey", as well as GP Gemma Foster in the medical drama 'Doctor Foster'. Jones originates from Chadderton within Greater Manchester, joined Oldham Theatre Workshop at the age of eight, where she was awarded the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. The stage was her first experience for Jones at the age of eight old, portraying Gloria in a stage production called "Wait Until Dark". Her first appearance on screen in 1997 when she played an actor in an episode on "Coronation Street". It was in 2000 that she appeared on the show to portray Karen McDonald. Then, she was cast as a variety of TV characters, including 'Vincent,"Strictly confidential," and the 'Harley Street.' In films like 'Broken Hearts and A Christmas Star', The Christmas Star, and a Love and a Long Shot she was in various roles.
